Salon Levels
The primary goals of our Salon Level System within Shear Rituals is to provide a career path of growth and achievement for team members and to offer several options for our guests to meet their diverse needs when it comes to salon services. Guests may choose the stylist/level that compliments their requests from skill set to education, and budget.
All stylists, regardless of prior experience, attend Training prior to working hands-on with our guests. Shear Rituals certifies the stylists in our Principle-Based Design (hair cutting techniques, hair coloring, and styling) and product knowledge to ensure they can offer the highest level of service and experience.
This program guarantees quality control within our organization as we pride ourselves on our advanced education and believe this is what sets us apart from others in the beauty industry.
Our menus display a “Starting At” price for services, as our team of designers is classified by availability, education, and demand. You may schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation (select stylists) to get an exact cost. Based on availability, education, and demand we offer Different levels for you to choose from.

Assistant:
This is a recent or future graduate who is completing our Training Program.
During this period, they are assisting Certified shear rituals Educators in order to learn advanced skills, improve efficiency and learn our specific Shear RItuals procedures, while servicing their own guests (models) a few hours per week. They are concentrating on hair as well as hair extensions, and becoming “Keratin” and “rituals” Treatment certified. Anyone that is part of the shear Rituals Team must undergo the same training process.
New Talent Stylist:
A stylist who has completed their initial Shear RItuals Training under our Certified Shear Rituals Educators.
After completing our Shear Rituals Training, our hair stylists graduate to New Talent Service Providers. Prices for a New Talent Stylist’s services are less than any other level due to their short amount of time in the industry. A New Talent Stylist is NOT someone who is a recently licensed cosmetologist, but rather someone who is new to our salon, offering beautiful and budget friendly services.
Level 1
A stylist who is developing their artistry in all Principle Based Design haircuts and color techniques, who has completed at least one year at the New Talent Level.
Once our service providers build up a steady clientele, as well as other career goals, they get a promotion to the next level.
Service providers in this level usually have 2-3 years of experience.
Level 2
A stylist who has developed their design and coloring skills, working to produce outcomes out of artistry.
This individual has gone through additional training and certifications in most Principles.
These stylists have been with Shear rituals for 2-3 years and are furthering their education.
Level 3
A stylist who has been certified in all of shear rituals and aveda Training.
These stylists have completed at least 250 hours of continuing education through in-salon training and attendance at approved continuing education classes.
They have worked closely with the Artistic Director to move ahead with their career in the and are being prepared to mentor and educate New Talents.
These stylists have been with Shear Rituals for at least 3-4 years.
Level 4
These are our advanced stylists and designers.
Whom are certified as a specialist in all three principles: cut, color, and styling. They have completed Educators Programs, and help to train/mentor new team members.
These stylists have been with Shear Rituals for 4-5 years.
Level 5 and Above
Level 5 and above is reserved for our most experienced and in high demand service providers in our salon.
They are well-known for their work, have reached rigorous goals and met our education and skill requirements. These stylists are your Salon Directors and artistically guide the entire team and take appointments by request only.
These are the most sought-after hairstylists in the salon not only because of their very advanced education level but also because of their well-known reputation in the community.
Service providers at this level usually have 10+ years of experience and have been with our salon for at least 8+ years.
